Stage 84 hold their annual Presentation Day each November in the Old Bell Chapel, Idle. Awards are given for excellence in each area of student activities from theatrical / TV performances to achievements in class time or exceptional examination results. Our 2011 Presentation Day keynote speech was once again given by Principal Valerie Jackson MBE. Special guests attending and presenting prizes at the event included Lord Mayor Councillor Naveeda Ikram and Matthew Hall. |

Trophies were also presented by the Stage 84 creative team and teaching staff. This year's Student of the Year was Sarah Kissack.
We would like to congratulate all the prize winners and wish them the very best for their studies and performing careers in the future. |

Sarah has been a student of Stage 84 for more than 13 years. She has appeared in all annual shows since she commenced classes with us. She has taken several lead roles, the most recent being 'Babette' in our spectacular production of Beauty and the Beast. Sarah has taken part in television productions including Waterloo Road and My Spy Family and has also appeared in the feature film Mrs Ratcliffes Revolution. She has passed examinations in Speech and Drama with the London Trinity Guildhall examination board. Sarah has also taken part in Speech and Drama festivals throughout the North of England gaining many first places. She has been a student teacher in our Performing Arts classes on a Thursday evening. Sarah is kind and patient with younger children, is bright and vivacious and very talented. We are delighted that she is the Stage 84 Student of the Year 2011. |
